"The laughs start with the
title, continue through the
poem in chapter one
(worth the price of the
book) and last all the way
through to the final
chapter. And while she
has you laughing, she
provides honest, practical
advice. Two thumbs up!
If I were all thumbs,
Id give it ten!"

Joyce Oglesby is a minister's wife of more than 36 years, mother, grandmother,
successful entrepreneur, and devoted church leader. Her deep passion is helping
wives safeguard their marriages and her calling is the preservation of the
family unit.
Her active involvement in the church and passion for women's issues inspired
her to start her own "Move A Mountain" ministry for women and she's led many
women's ministries through the years. She speaks on important marriage and
family issues that affect women today with insightful wisdom into life and
love.
In addition, Joyce has owned her own court reporting business for the past 28 years and has
clearly experienced the heavy demands of womanhood. In 1985, she started a
court reporting business in Atlanta, Georgia, which became one of the largest
reporting agencies in the city. At the pinnacle of her success, she gave up her
business to follow God's calling of her husband to take over a ministry in
Indiana, where she began another successful court reporting agency.
Joyce;s greatest joy and passion in life comes from helping others. She is a firm
believer that the more you give, the more you will receive. Joyce delights in helping
others in any way she can, whether it be through prayer, cooking, cleaning, public
speaking, raising money ... whatever it takes to make life better for someone in need.
Joyce recognizes that God has allowed her to experience a wide spectrum of humanity,
both good and bad. "I feel I have been blessed beyond measure, and only hope I
can continue to be a vessel for my Lord and Savior."

Drawing from her life as a pastor's wife as well as her deep passion to help wives
preserve their marriages and rediscover the art of romance, Joyce authored, Keeping
His Pants On Until He Gets Home. Although the title is certainly shocking, the
message is timely and vitally important to the preservation of marriage and family.
It's been called "the bible of marriage for women."
Joyce offers foundational principles for intimacy necessary to strengthen marriages and
create affair-proof relationships. She is light-hearted and whimsical in her approach,
developing a trust through examples she has developed in her own marriage. Readers soon
discover the delight of womanhood through biblical truths that release them from bondage
of closeted fears and/or inhibitions. Joyce espouses down-to-earth techniques on a
woman-to-woman level. In her forthright, matter-of-fact style, she explains how making
the husband's physical needs a priority has its advantages. Her empowering insight
opens the door to sexual pleasure many women fail to enjoy due to societal stigmas
about sex.
Pragmatic, attainable resources are introduced throughout the book. Joyce takes readers
from childhood to menopause, challenging wives to put into action God's special gift of
being created to fulfill man's desire, ultimately preserving the history a couple begins
at the altar. She stresses that your creative and unrelenting attention to him is your
best hope of immunity to unfaithfulness. |
Joyce is also the organizer for My HIM Day© presented by Beyond This Point Ministries. My HIM Day© is a “Women’s Rally for Sexual Rightness in the Home” that celebrates a positive view of purity and commitment in a fallen world. This program is designed to present awareness of the devastation, prevention and restoration to all women—wives, brides-to-be, someday-brides, moms, grandmothers, aunts and nieces – of the invasion of pornography within the home. As a Christian event, presentations will be based in biblical truths that women must claim Jesus first (He is Mine), claim My Husband is Mine, and defend My Home is Mine – My HIM Day©. The initial launch in the Kentuckiana area was a great success. Women sat spellbound as the speakers presented diverse angles of the issues and dangers of this growing cultural concern. If you desire to have Joyce present the program to your church and/or community, please contact her and indicate your interest. Click here for more information.
