Lost, Stolen or Misplaced
Reminiscing over scrapbooks of children to analyze who her newborn favors, my daughter Tanga sat aghast and teary-eyed over the seven-year block of Time that seems to have vanished! Like millions of mothers, she attempted to capture the varmint, but it kept eluding her carefully planted snare. There was no prior warning of Time’s departure. But for pictures memorializing its presence and memories placed delicately within her bank of fondest, she would have little cause to believe Time inhabited her home. There has been indication it is still in the area; however, once it appears to have been caught, Time immediately slips through her fingers. Before she realizes it, another birthday comes along as a reminder of how quickly Time moves.
Apparently, it takes on several different personalities. Time has been confused with dragging by, lost, stolen, mismanaged, too little, idle, over, game, set, school, work, play, church, nap, bed, fast, slow, Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, autumn, winter, summer, spring, night, day and fleeting. Its most ruthless disguise is that of thief – robbing moms of moments with children. Anyone recognizing the mask of speed it dons should report it immediately to the nearest mom and collect the well-deserved reward.
