The Makings of My Marriage

If a couple should venture to journal the path of their marriage, an aerial view would look something… If a couple should venture to journal the path of their marriage, an aerial view would look something akin to an atlas of the United States, and for some the world! How many turns has your marriage taken over the years? My marriage is certainly different than it was when we first began, only in the fact it was great then, and it’s phenomenal now. The history Webby and I have sandwiched into our brief almost 39-year-year marriage has served to enhance the love we share.

This is not to say we have not experienced storms along the way. My goodness, we have had our share. Thank goodness, it was nothing the two of us couldn’t weather together. Were we just a lucky lot? I know luck had nothing to do with our union. I know it was the mix of Christ in our marriage that kept and keeps us strong through the roughest of adversities. As life takes shape, so do the makings of your marriage. It’s what you “make of the makings” that will tell your story yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Call in Sunday on the Just Ask Joyce Hour (502-571-CHAT) and share how you have fared in your marriage. It may be ideal, it may be one that started out rocky but became a mountain of beauty, or it could be one that needs tweaking, or a lot of help.  Where are you in the makings of your marriage?
